HP ZBook 15u G3 Workstation Ultrabook Review
Lisa Gade reviews the HP ZBook 15u G3, HP's latest generation 15.6” workstation Ultrabook. Not to be confused with the more powerful and expensive HP ZBook Studio or the standard issue ZBook 15, the 15u runs on Intel 6th generation Skylake dual core, 15 watt Core i5 and i7 Ultrabook CPUs. It has AMD FirePro W4190M 2BG DDR5 graphics tailored toward CAD work rather than gaming, and that GPU sits near the bottom of AMD's line. The ZBook 15u with a Core i7 starts around $1,200, which is $800 cheaper than the ZBook 15 Studio slim and light workstation with quad core CPUs and more powerful graphics.
The laptop weighs 4.18 lbs. (2.16 kg) and is 19.9mm thick. It has a magnesium alloy reinforced casing that meets MIL Std 810G specs for water and dust resistance. It's available with low end 1920 x 1080 full HD TN displays (touch and non-touch options available) or IPS 1080p and 4K displays. It has an ample array of ports including USB 3.0, USB-C 3.1 Gen 1, DisplayPort 1.2 with MST support, VGA, a sim card slot for 4G LTE, a Smart Card slot and Ethernet. The laptop has Bang & Olufsen stereo speakers, Intel 8260 WiFi 802.11ac with Bluetooth 4.2 and a backlit keyboard.

Samsung Notebook 9 15" Review
Lisa Gade reviews the 15" Samsung Notebook 9, an insanely slim and light Core i7 Ultrabook that doesn't sacrifice performance or battery life. The 2.9 lb. (1.3 kg) laptop is 0.57” (14.5mm) thin and is clad in metal. We look at model NP900X5L-K02US. The laptop has ample ports: two USB 3.0 ports, one USB-C 3.1 Gen 1 port, 3.5mm audio, full size HDMI, Gigabit Ethernet, 3.5mm audio and a microSD card slot.
** Read our full written review here: http://www.mobiletechreview.com/notebooks/Samsung-Notebook-9.htm
It runs Windows 10 on the Intel Skylake 6th generation Core i7-6500U, a dual core 2.5 GHz ULV CPU with Intel HD 520 graphics. It has 8 gigs of RAM and an M.2 256 gig SSD. The Notebook 9 has Intel AC 8260 dual band WiFi 802.11ac with Bluetooth 4.1, a 720p webcam, backlit keyboard and large glass trackpad. It sells for $1,199. The Notebook 9 has a 1920 x 1080 non-touch PLS display with very good color gamut, 350 nits brightness and wide viewing angles. It has a 39 WHr, 4 cell battery and it supports fast charging.

12" Apple MacBook 2nd Generation 2016 Review
Lisa Gade reviews the second generation 12” Retina MacBook with updated Intel Skylake CPUs, faster SSDs, longer battery life and the new rose gold color (silver, space gray and gold are also available). The MacBook is an absolutely tiny laptop that runs Mac OS X El Capitan, yet it's not much bigger than an iPad Air and it weighs just 2 pounds (under 1 Kg). The small size means there are few ports, in fast there's just a 3.5mm audio jack and 1 USB-C 3.1 port that handles charging and anything else you wish to connect to it (monitors, external hard drives, Ethernet adapters, flash drive and more). The MacBook is available with Intel 6th generation Skylake Core m3, m5 and m7 CPUs and it has 8 gigs of RAM and your choice of 256 or 512 gigs of storage.
** Read our written review here: http://www.mobiletechreview.com/notebooks/12-inch-Apple-MacBook-2016.htm
The notebook has a lovely IPS 2304 x 1440 display that's unchanged from last year's model. It has a lightly larger 4.1 WHr battery that Apple claims is good for up to 10 hours on a charge. It has surprisingly loud stereo speakers, dual band WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth. We test it with Photoshop, Final Cut Pro and PS4 Remote Play in this review. The price starts at $1,299.

HTC 10 Review
Lisa Gade reviews the HTC 10, the company's flagship Android smartphone for 2016. HTC's turned things around with the 10- it hits all the sweet spots with none of the gotchas of other recent m series phones. The HTC 10 is clad in metal with a wide chamfer on the sides, and its curves feel good in hand. The phone runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow with HTC Sense UI on the top of the line Snapdragon 820 CPU with Adreno 530 graphics and 4 gigs of RAM. It has 32 gigs of internal storage and a microSD card slot that can extend storage. The phone has a 5.2” QHD Super LCD 5 display clad in Gorilla Glass, and it has enhanced touch response.
The HTC 10 will be available in early May 2016 on most major carriers. It's also available as a GSM unlocked phone via HTC's website for $699. Both front and rear cameras have optical image stabilization, and the rear 12MP camera with enlarged pixel sites takes excellent photos and 4K video. The HTC 10 has a 3,000 mAh battery and a Quick Charge 3.0 charger is in the box. It has a high quality 24 bit audio DAC and separate headphone amplifier for excellent wired headphone sound.

Toshiba Portege Z20t Review - 12.5" Skylake 2-in-1
Lisa Gade reviews the Toshiba Portege Z20t, the 2016 version with an Intel 6th generation Intel Core m5 CPU. We look at the Z20t-C2112 that has the Core m5-6Y57 CPU, 8 gigs of RAM and an M.2 256 gig SSD. This is a 12.5” full HD matte tablet with touch and a Wacom EMR digitizer (2 pens included). It targets business users and has the price tag to match- $1,699 for our unit, but there are less expensive models price at $985 and $1,399. That said, it works well for art too. The tablet has the ergonomics of a small Ultrabook thanks to the included keyboard base that houses a second 36 WHr battery, a healthy selection of full size ports plus a backlit keyboard, trackpad and Accupoint style eraser stick pointer.

Apple iPad Pro 9.7 inch Review
Lisa Gade reviews the newer, smaller iPad Pro model from Apple. It has a 9.7” display vs. the original iPad Pro's 12.9” display. It's the same size as the iPad Air 2, and thus may be a more mainstream tablet… it's also a bit less expensive with a starting price tag of $599 for the 32 gig WiFi model in the US. LTE 4G is optional, and you can get it with 128 and 256 gigs of storage. The iPad Pro 9.7 has a 2048 x 1536 IPS display with Apple's new True Tone auto white balance adjustments to match ambient lighting. It has wide color gamut and low reflectance.
The tablet works with the optional $99 Apple Pencil and $149 Smart Keyboard cover. It runs iOS 9.3 on the 2.25 GHz Apple A9X CPU with 2 gigs of RAM. It has Touch ID, WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.2 and on LTE models a GPS. Like the larger Pro, it has 4 speakers for impressively loud and full audio. The tablet has the same 12MP rear camera and 5MP front camera as the iPhone 6s and a 27.5 Whr battery good for 10 hours of use.
