Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 460 Review

Lisa Gade reviews the Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 460, a 14” Windows 10 convertible with the Yoga 360 degree hinge, Lift n' Lock keyboard and a Wacom AES (ThinkPad Pen Pro) digital pen. This is the very close cousin to the ThinkPad Yoga 14 latest generation sold by Best Buy in the US, and they're identical except the Best Buy model has NVIDIA 940M graphics while the Yoga 460 has Intel HD 520 graphics. The 3.9 lb. Yoga 460 starts at under $1,000 and it's decently equipped for the price: Intel Skylake 6th gen Core i5-6200U CPU, 8 gigs of RAM and an SSD drive. It's available with up to 16 gigs of RAM and you can get up to a 512 gig SSD. Both Core i5 and Core i7 processors are available on the Yoga 460. Dell Latitude 13 7370 Review

Lisa Gade reviews Dell's sexy new high end 13.3” business Ultrabook, the 2.48 lb. (1.12 kg) Latitude 13 7370. This is one of the best looking 13” business laptops on the market, and it's available with a carbon fiber or aluminum lid. Dell also offers 12 and 14 inch models and 2-in-1 versions, but we look at the traditional laptop design here. The machine is available with the same 1920 x 1080 and Sharp IGZO QHD+ 3200 x 1800 displays as the Dell XPS 13, but these have an anti-glare finish. The notebook is available with Intel Skylake 6th generation Core m3, m5 and m7 CPUs and 8 gigs of DDR3 RAM. You can get with an M.2 SATA3 or PCIe SSD in capacities from 128 to 512 gigs.

It has a very good backlit keyboard, a two button trackpad, Intel dual band WiFi 8260 802.11ac with Bluetooth and optional 4G LTE-A. A fingerprint scanner and Smart Card reader are available for $21. Starting prices range from $1,300 to $1,800, and our model with the carbon fiber lid, QHD+ touch screen, 256 gig PCIe SSD and Core m5 sells for $2,100.

It's the successor to the ThinkPad W541 and smaller companion to the ThinkPad P70 we reviewed, the P50 is a classic mobile workstation that's beefy and powerful. It weighs 5.8 lbs. Sony a7S II Review

Lisa Gade reviews the Sony a7s II, Sony's second generation full frame 35mm mirrorless camera that targets video shooters. We test it with a variety of Sony FE lens including the 55mm f/1.8, FE 24-70 f/4 and the FE 70-200mm f/4. The sample photos were taken without flash and we used no studio lights for sample video.

The a7S II can shoot 4K video internally as well as high bitrate 1080p footage and it has Sony's 5 axis IBIS (in-body image stabilization). The camera has Sony's 12.2MP EXMOR sensor an BIONZ X image processor (same as the last generation A7S). It features high ISO capabilities that make it an ideal low light and night camera for both photo and video. At $3,100 it's an expensive camera, but its quality sits well above more affordable prosumer options and it's still much cheaper than Canon cinema and RED cameras.
