Acer Aspire Switch 10 Special Edition Review
Lisa Gade reviews the Acer Aspire Switch 10 Special Edition, a classier looking version of the Switch 10 convertible (model number SW5-015-16Y3). This Windows 10 machine is both a tablet and a laptop/netbook with a 2-in-1 design where the 10.1” tablet separates from the keyboard dock. It’s sold on Acer’s website and by Costco in the US for $349, and for that price it’s a solid little machine. It has the quad core Intel Atom Bay Trail Z3735f CPU clocked at 1.33 GHz with boost to 1.83 GHz. It has 2 gigs of RAM and 64 gigs of eMMC flash storage, plus a 16 gig microSD card in the box. The 10.1 IPS touch screen is 1280 x 800 resolution and it has good contrast, brightness and color saturation. Dual band WiFi 802.11n, Bluetooth and a 720p webcam round out the features. The keyboard dock is included.
