Nexus 5X Review

Lisa Gade reviews the Google Nexus 5X, an Android phone made by LG. This is the more affordable and smaller of two Nexus phones Google released for the fall of 2015. It has a slim and light design and is fairly friendly to small hands thanks to the 5.2” screen size. It has a full HD 1920 x 1080 display and it runs Android 6.0 Marshmallow on the Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 hex-core 1.8 GHz CPU with Adreno 418 graphics (the same CPU as the LG G4). It has a 5MP front camera and a very good 12.3MP rear camera with a large pixel sensor, f/2.0 lens, laser auto-focus, a two-tone LED flash and 4K video recording. The smartphone uses the new USB-C connector and it comes with a USB-C cable and charger. It has a 2700 mAh battery, dual band WiFi 802.11ac with MIMO, Bluetooth 4.2, NFC and a GPS. It’s sold unlocked by Google and it supports both GSM and CDMA, and has LTE 4G for all 4 major carriers (Sprint, Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile) as well as many other US and worldwide carriers. The price starts at $379 for the 16 gig and $429 for the 32 gig model.
